APSARA THEATRE-ER MAMLA
SYNOPSIS
“Feluda” is the undying creation of Satyajit Ray. One of the stories of Feluda’s adventures has been chosen as CHARBAK’s new production. A story of intrigue and suspense has been woven around the traditional Bengali professional theatre scene by Satyajit Ray. Those were the golden days of Bengali theatre. Those days are gone. Today, most of those theatres are either let off as wedding venues or have been sold to estate promoters. This play has been written on the basis of the original story but has been modified in rhyme with today’s scenario. Naturally, the inclusion of female characters is evident, a rarity in Feluda stories. As innovative as the rise of Feluda on stage. Producer Bhikarimal Jhunjhunwala has decided to sell off Apsara Theatre to one estate promoter, much against the determined protests of the performers, technicians and the play director. The rehearsals of the new play “CHHANNACHHARA” continues as disaster after disaster strikes the cast. Actors vanish and are murdered! Felu, Topshe & Jatayu get involved in the mysterious happenings. Was Bhikarimal employing criminal tactics? Or was it an even greater conspiracy? Feluda is clueless in the unfamiliar atmosphere. Will Feluda be able to help the cast and crew of Apsara Theatre to save their theatre from being demolished? To know the answer you need to watch the play “APSARA THEATRE-ER MAMLA”.
