CHOLO POTOL TULI
SYNOPSIS
Combined and formulated from various short stories of Shibram Chakraborty, this play is a complete slapstick comedy. The time frame is the 1950s. The story revolves around a finicky man who is afraid that the ‘beri-beri’ infected neighbour will surely kill him. He turns selfish and tries everything to ward off the dreaded disease from his house, much to the annoyance and discomfort of his near and dear ones. In the process, he encounters hilarious rib-tickling situations. Only to realize in the end that being self-centred is no way to lead your life. Through the slapstick situations and humorous anecdotes we try to convey that ‘the selfish and self-centred live a life of isolation, the only way to live is to feel and do for others.’
